Hornrimmed Glasses @ Homespun!

Hi everybody,

I just released some classic hornrimmed glasses. Custom sculpites were used as well as a custom script which will change the frame textures and lens textures upon touch. There are 32 texture options! Swing by my main store at Harajuku Box and check 'em out!

Homespun Grand Opening Success!

Yay!

The grand opening was so amazing!!! Kyle's performance was perfect and so much fun! Lots of people came by... we even filled up the sim for awhile! Best of all, so many of my good friends came by to support me... I'll have to admit, I teared-up at one point seeing my friends there. Some of us don't always talk every day, but they're sooo there when it counts!

I appreciate each person who came by with compliments and wishes of good luck. This project was so much fun for me (and a lot of work!), so every person who enjoys what I made means so much to me. Thank you all!

I only took a few pictures... when the party was filled with people, they had wierd black outlines around them (plus I was busy chatting with everyone!)... so here are some pics early on in the event and at the very end...

FINALLY! The Grand Opening is tomorrow (Saturday, January 23)! Come by and hear the live entertainment with Kyle Beltran, blues and jazz pianist extraordinaire, who will entertain from noon 'til 1:00SLT.

Homespun is FINALLY almost ready to open at Harajuku Box! I have a fun Grand Opening event planned with live music and everything! My Homespun main store won’t be open for a couple of weeks, but you can get a sneak peek at Men’s Fashion Week until January 16th! Homespun Begun.

Hello!

I'm very near completion of my new SL venture... Homespun. Inspired by the Depression Era and the decade following, I wanted to try to create products and a shopping environment that reflects the simplicity and utilitarian qualities of this era. Many of my favorite books and movies take place during this period: "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Paper Moon," "Road to Perdition," "Grapes of Wrath," and "Of Mice and Men," so making things that have been influenced by some of my favorite things to read and watch was a lot of fun. (I do want to note that I'm not creating exact replicas of anything, I'm simply inspired by the styles and sensibilities of the period.) I also hope that Homespun clothing and accessories will be incorporated into modern wardrobes.

I just like the idea of creating things for the "average joe" and providing a setting that celebrates simple pleasures... a hot cup of coffee with a delicious piece of homemade pie... a simple, yet pretty dress... a pair of comfy jeans.

Look for a Homespun opening sometime in January 2010 at Harajuku Box. I have some fun stuff planned!
